The Mason’s Arms

“Battersea’s Craft Beer House”

Situated in the heart of Battersea, south London, The Mason’s Arms is a stunning mid - Victorian public house.

Westwood Studios were tasked with re-modelling a tired looking pub which had huge potential. With an existing open plan feel and huge, high ceilings with period features, we tapped into this with an introduction of a more contemporary feel alongside the current Victorian architecture.

The original bar was shoe-horned along one side of the pub, adjacent to an existing open kitchen. This took up at least a third of the ground floor trading space, but with the re-location of the kitchen into the existing basement and the installation of a food hoist, this meant we could open up the entire ground floor for more customer use. A large peninsula / horseshoe bar was then introduced with a feature back bar and open-plan feel, creating the heart of the pub and celebrating the craft beer element of the business.

Original and unique antiques were procured by Westwood Studios to display in harmony with the buildings Victorian heritage. Large banquette seating and beautiful, bespoke oak screening were added creating characterful spaces and flexible dining areas.
