The Lord Northbrook
“Victorian grandeur in south London”
Our client, Fuller, Smith and Turner appointed us to re-model this fantastic, late Victorian public house in Lee, south London.
One of our main areas of focus within the design was the revitalisation of the pubs frontage. We proposed a new identity for the signage including a new motif celebrating the history of the house name and the heritage surrounding it. This has created a more premium feel to the design and the pub is now a striking and bold statement on the high street.
The main bar area has an open-plan feel with new banquette seating, feature artwork and antique chandeliers, sorted by Westwood Studios. As the existing pub had an over provision of toilet facilities, this gave us the opportunity to remove the smaller gents and ladies w.c’s and create further trading space.
To the rear of the building was an existing glazed extension that was tired and underused. Here we created an orangery feel with hanging planting, vibrant colour to panelling and reclaimed timber cladding.
