The Queens Head

“A transformation of this prominent Dorking public house”

The Queens Head had been neglected over the years and there was an aim from our client and the locals to bring it back to life and re-introduce it as the hub of the community it once was. By re-locating the customer toilets to the first floor we were able to open out and re-configure the ground floor bar into a more dynamic dining offer.

Roaring fires, restored original timber floors, exposed Victorian red-stock brick is married with beautiful period and sympathetic lighting, contemporary upholstery and vibrant ceramic floor tiling.

A huge aspect of the transformation was the introduction of quirky artwork, one off pieces and interesting bric a brac, this provides depth and warmth within the scheme and we had great fun sourcing these items from antiques fairs and local auction houses.
